Most of the world’s table salt comes from a handful of industrial sources — refined, processed, and stripped of the minerals that give natural salt its character. Iran is one of the rare exceptions: a country with ancient salt deposits of extraordinary geological diversity, producing three distinct natural salts in the same region of the world, each with its own mineral composition, colour, and culinary character. Three Iranian Salts — What Sets Each One Apart

Persian Blue Salt — the rarest salt in our collection and one of the rarest in the world. Mined from a single ancient deposit in Semnan province, its blue colour comes from sylvinite (KCl) — a potassium mineral whose crystalline structure refracts light in the blue spectrum.

No two crystals are identical in shade. Persian Blue Salt has a slightly lower sodium content and a mild, subtly sweet finish that makes it particularly well suited as a finishing salt on fish, seafood, dark chocolate, and rare steaks. Iranian Pink Salt — a naturally pink salt with a mineral profile that includes calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Mined from ancient salt deposits in Iran, it offers a clean, full-bodied flavour suited to everyday cooking and finishing. Available in powder format from €29.

White Rock Salt — the baseline Iranian rock salt, mined from the same ancient geological deposits as our blue and pink varieties. Pure sodium chloride with a clean, neutral taste — available as part of our mixed salt sets.
